Automatic Coping and Cutbacks

Structural beams and columns can receive optional automated end treatments during placement. This is referred to as coping. Coping can be enabled (on by default) to automatically model copes and cutbacks when placing structural linear components. Copes and cutbacks are stored as features of the physical beams or columns. Analytical members are unaffected by coping and remain fixed to intersecting beams or columns maintaining their relationships with respect to moments and forces associated with structural analysis.

The highlighted beam has coping applied. It's endpoint remains located at the intersection with the other beam denoted with a yellow "x".
